School Counselling Service

Marchants House provides an experienced and specialist School Counselling Service in the Kent and Sussex areas of the UK, using our team of like-minded counsellors, in addition to providing counselling at our Therapy Centre. This covers both Primary and Secondary schools (age range 4 – 18).

This service, which we have developed over the last fifteen years, is flexible and tailored to the needs of the individual school. Our counsellors can be working within a school from half a day to several days a week. We also provide expert advice and support to Pastoral Care teams and to schools wishing to set up a counselling service.

Our counsellors love working with young people and our success rate has been proven by independent statistics, confidential surveys as well as by feedback we have received from schools and parents.

We help children with a wide range of difficulties, including:

  • Reaction to parental separation/ divorce
  • Adjustment to step family arrangements
  • Self harming
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Exam stress
  • Anxiety, fears and phobias
  • Behaviour/ anger management
