We have written an article troubleshooting problems children are likely to have when starting school, which will be published in ‘Right Start’ magazine, September/ October issue.
We are always interested in providing relevant comment, interviews and articles about our work with children, working with a Therapy Dog and current news items/proposed legislation affecting young people. You are welcome to arrange to visit us at Marchants House Therapy Centre, located in the tranquil countryside on the Kent/ Sussex border and we can also give interviews by ‘phone and email.

Counselling For Schools - Primary and Secondary
- Our professional counselling service can be provided within schools either on a regular basis throughout the school year or for an agreed short period (for example, 6 weeks).
- Fees are £28 per hour for a commitment of 3 hours per week and are fully inclusive. For details of fees for fewer hours, please contact us with your requirements.

Childlight Training
- We offer training and consultancy on all aspects of our work. We tailor our Training Workshops to the specific needs and objectives of clients and these can range in duration from a couple of hours to longer and more in-depth Professional Development Workshops. Recent training provided for teaching and support staff has included:
- Helping children to deal with parental separation and divorce
- Raising children’s confidence and self esteem
- Supporting primary school children with pre-bereavement and the loss of a parent

For Parents and Carers
We understand that thinking about counselling for your child is an important step and we want you to feel comfortable with us before you make any commitment about this. We offer a 20 minute free telephone consultation to discuss how we can help. Please contact us to arrange a convenient time for this, via email.

Face to Face counselling for children. For older children, telephone counselling is available. Fees: £28 per face-to-face session; £25 per telephone session. (The length of the session depends upon the age of the child and will be agreed before counselling starts)
- Advice and guidance for parents/ carers. Fees: £35 per one hour session (face to face or telephone)
Confidentiality and Privacy Policy
We will only use your email address to respond to requests for our services or further information and we will not sell or give it to any other party. We do not receive funding, sponsorship or commission from any other organisations and we are entirely independent.
All our services are strictly confidential and we will not disclose any personal information you give us in any way that can identify you or any child. References to any individuals published on this site have had their names and other details changed, in order to preserve their anonymity.
